If you plan to stock items in your listing, or add a product or service with limited availability, there are several key features to take advantage of to help you manage your inventory. These features are activated based off of your answers to questions in the Product Settings section when adding a product.
Tracking Inventory
When adding a product, you can input the number of inventory available by answering the following question:
- How many do you have?
Input the number of products or services that you have available as your answer. Every time a guest purchases this product, the available inventory will decrease by 1. Once the number reaches zero, the products will appear as Out of Stock to guests and they will be unable to purchase the product until you update the amount by inputting a new number underneath this question.
Inventory Notifications
You can also set products to notify you when you are running low on inventory. To activate this feature, answer "yes" to the following question:
- Do you want to be notified if you are running low?
Next, you'll input how low your inventory will need to be for you to be notified. A second question will pop up below:
- At what amount do you want to be notified?
Once your inventory reaches the number you input, an email will be sent to your account email address and any email addresses included under the Notify Others section to alert you that inventory for this product is running low!
Restocking
Once more of your product or service are available again, you can restock the product in your store. To do so, log into your store, click on the three dots at the top right corner of your product, and select “edit.” Go to the product settings, and edit your answer to this question:
- How many do you have?
Input the number you have available. Once you click save, guests will again be able to purchase this product!
